Stuffed Morels

Ingredients:

  • Large morels (the size of the palm of your hand)
  • Cream cheese
  • Sausage (elk sausage preferred)
  • Crab meat
  • Butter
  • Havarti or Munster cheese slices (Colby or Monterey Jack work too)

Instructions:

  1. Slice morels open lengthwise on one side.
  2. Stuff with cream cheese, sausage, and some crab meat.
  3. Saute them in butter in a skillet for a few minutes on all sides.
  4. Put them in a baking dish and cover with a piece of cheese.
  5. Bake at 350°F for about 20 to 25 minutes.
