Fettuccini Alfredo and Wild Mushrooms

Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 ounces mixed sliced wild mushrooms
- 1 package (9 ounces) fresh fettuccini
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 1/4 cups 1 percent milk
- 1 package (3 ounces) Neufchâtel cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of grated nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions:
- In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 6 to 7 minutes. Stir in mushrooms and cook 4 minutes.
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
- Add wine to skillet and boil 1 minute. Stir in milk, Neufchâtel, Parmesan, salt, and nutmeg.
- Toss cooked pasta with sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.
