Fried Dried Morels

Ingredients:

  • Dried morels
  • Salt water
  • 1 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 stick of real butter

Instructions:

  1. Soak dried morels overnight in salt water.
  2. Cut the mushrooms in half the long way.
  3. Take a large zip lock plastic bag and put flour in it. Add salt and pepper to the flour.
  4. Take a large skillet and put a stick of real butter in it and melt it.
  5. Put the mushrooms in the bag of flour, coat them, and shake off the excess flour.
  6. Add them to the skillet of melted butter and cook them on medium-high till they are browned on both sides (Add more salt and pepper while cooking if desired).
  7. After they start cooking well, turn the heat down a bit and let them cook a little slower for about 5 minutes, then turn it back up to medium-high to brown them.
  8. Take them out, drain excess grease on a paper towel, and eat.
